The Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary
is a sacred place in Newtown, CT continually being developed in memory of Catherine Violet Hubbard. Tragically, Catherine, a lover of all animals and creatures, lost her life at Sandy Hook Elementary School when she was just six years old.
The sanctuary offers refuge for farm animals,
animal adoption events, wildlife rehabilitation programs, and educational workshops.
Every year, CVH holds a Butterfly Party to
celebrate Catherine’s birthday and memory.
Design System
CVH is a place where so many animals and creatures can frolic freely and call their home. With that being said, I really wanted to emulate all of the creatures found at the sanctuary by illustrating them and positioning them in a way that shows them all interacting in the space together. I used the same colors found in the CVH logo to make a cohesive system.
